What I’m Reading Now began as an occasional  series in my immigration blog Long Island Wins back in October 2009. The idea was to let my regular readers know what I was reading, and to write brief musings on the book I just finished. These blogs never were all that popular, but several dozen folks became regulars, so I decided to devote a blog just to them.

Thanks for visiting,

But did you tell us that you had started a separate blog?

    • I started this blog last year when LIWins asked me to only post immigration books on their site. So I discontinued “What I’m Reading Now” at Wins and moved here. In January 2011 I started a new series called “Immigration Bookshelf” at Wins to replace it. I announced the new “What I’m Reading Now” it on my facebook page, but otherwise I haven’t done anything to promote this page, although it gets 40-50 visitors each week.
This blog essentially functions as a readers diary, something I’ve kept for every book I’ve read since I was 23 years old.
